NGK, If Honda trusts them to go in all of their cars, then so do I! I suppose you could get some bosch as well.

Can't platinum plugs actually cause problems if your car over heats?

It depends on how hard you run your car, because platinum plugs burn hot, they can wear out prematurely and they are expensive

they burn hot, and there is really no need for them with a stock ignition system, or in a low performance engine.

I had them for awhile and they still looked okay after 10,000 miles. But I switched to NGKs to see if I could get better gas mileage since Honda puts them in their cars.

Re: What spark plugs should I use?

I swear I read somewhere that the platinum plugs have a low melting point and if your engine overheats they can actually melt and "fuse" in the groves of your head.

Yes this is true it happed with my friends cavalier (hes hard core Chevy, cant get him to convert to honda, but he likes to drive mine, even thogh its slow as ballz) he had them put in and they got hot and the threads fused right into the damn head. But Ive only heard of this happening in aluminum heads.
