Re: what does that mean RB26DETT?

The RB26DETT is an engine code for a Nissan Skyline. I have no idea what a Karman type vehicle is, doubt it's Honda related though.

Re: what does that mean RB26DETT?

The R32 GT-R uses the newly introduced RB26DETT engine, a DOHC inline-6 with 24-valves and a six-throttle inlet manifold. A bore of 86mm in connection with a stroke of 73.7mm make for an overall displacement of 2568cc. A compression ratio of 8.5:1, twin T28 Garrett turbochargers and a large front-mounted intercooler help the RB26DETT produce 280hp at 6800rpm and 360Nm (260lb-ft) of torque at 4400rpm.

Re: what does that mean RB26DETT?

RB26DETT

RB - Nissan Factory Code, rumored to stand for "Racing Bred/Breed"
26 - 2598cc
D - DOHC (Dual Over Head Camshafts)
E - ECCS (Electronic Concentrate Control System)
T - Twin
T - Turbochargers

That is the proper breakdown... Works for all Nissan Engine Codes.

Hany, where did you see the "Karman type vehicle"? If you could post the web address where you saw it, maybe we can help.

Re: what does that mean RB26DETT?

ECCS - Electronic Concentrate Control System is the same thing as EFI. But the proper break down is ECCS.

Re: what does that mean RB26DETT?

I'll see if I can get you an answer. For anyone else that may be looking into this here is the web address for the apexi SAFC II manual. It constantly references settings for a Karman type vehicle specifically pages 30 and 48.
