Angry 2004 quest

Has anybody had problem with loss of power while driving with their Nissan Quest 04? It has happened to me twice and this time they have had my car for two months to replace the main computer part on it. The part is not availabe. I am researching to see how many other people have had the same problem and what was done for them? At the moment I am getting the run around from Nissan North America. I have had many more problems and recalls on my Nissan Quest. Please help. Angrymom

Re: 2004 quest

My wife has an 04 Quest also , She was complaining that every once and a while the car would have no power, but if she shut it off waited a few seconds it would be fine. It happened intermediately. And only happened right after she started it and went to go .Being a Nissan Tech i Did find a Bulletin Pertaining to this issue. I Replace the TCM ( transmission Control unit )as per the Bulletin and haven't heard my wife bitch yet GL

I am assuming this is what you ment, if not feel free to leave me a message here and a detailed description of what the vech is doing and I'll see if i can find any info for you

Oh yeah .. There are 5 to 6 main computers for this car. Might what to find out witch one they repalced

ECM
TCM
IPDM
BCM
Air Bag
ABS

Re: 2004 quest

Thanks for replying. yes my car started with the same problem and I would have to turn it off and turn it back on. but gradually it started to loose power when I was driving like there was no power in the gas pedal. Then other stuff related to the computer started acting up. I am not sure which computer it is. I don't remeber the name right now, but they did not want me to drive it anymore. Nissan can not find the part and I guess they will not be able to provide it. After I posted my note we heard from Nissan and they may be working on a deal for us. I am still waiting for an answer. we'll see how long will that take.
