yeah, watch out for that plastic turbo crap....all that will do is melt and probably cause a fire.

BTW, i am going to get a real turbo setup for only about 180 installed. I am going to buy a turbo off from a wrecked chrysler lebaron for about 50 bucks at a junkard, buy a pacesetter steel header, custom cut my own wastegate, custom weld my own brackets, and run two oil lines to it, an intake and a return. I only dare run it on 8 psi--wouldnt want to run too much to a motor with stock internals. Ill let you guys know how it turns out.

Bad ass, you going to use an intercooler? Polygon was talking about the intercooler on his Lebaron in another thread... the one at the junkyard probably has one... you should scoop that up too...

Or look for one off another wrecked turbo car if there isn't one on the Lebaron...

Yeah, I was planning on using an intercooler if the car that I get the turbo off from has one in it. If not, ill just look for one on another car like you said.

If this setup all comes together in good working order, the car should really scream!

This ad doesnt even say anything about the product. All it says is, dont spend this much on that, just buy this!!! Doesnt say shyiet about the turbo though, no specifications. Dude probably made it himself in his garage using the plastic from an old garbage can(the plastic kinds). Never trust anything on ebay if they dont even describe product or say what it actually does. Wheres his sources, nowhere cuz there are none showed.

that thing is same as hair dryer. hair dryer puts out same CFM's as that thing.

in forced induction CFM mean nothing, valuable charactiristic of Tubro or Supercharger is how much pressure it can create. you probably heard from ppl who run forced induction saying: I run 8 PSI, they don't say i run 600CFM. PSI is pouns per square inch. CFM is cubic feet per minute(air in our case, but can be liquid).
one way to compare PSI and CFM; CFM is race car and PSI is freight train. race car will out run freight train, but if those vehicles hit the wall, guess which one will create more damage to the wall.

and if you try to cover out let of that plastic turbo (i can hardly call it turbo) with your hand, electric motor will burn down in 5 minuts. in case of real force induction there is no way in world you can cover outlet of it for even few seconds, there too much force, that probably they call it forced induction.

to create pressure from electric motor you need to have big a@@ motor, but since its electric you will need electricity, so you have to hook it up to electrical system of your car. now, your battery and alternator never meant to create that much electricity, so you need to replace them with bigger units. bigger alternator will withdraw more power from your engine, catch 22. so in end it will be very little gain.

forced induction was invented almost 100 years ago, do not you think electric motor haven't been tried before to create forced induction.

That pastic turbo really works! The downside is that you can only turn it on at WOT and it only gives you 5 hp. The turbo can only be turn on at WOT because the fan sucks up a lot of power from your battery. Being at WOT will charge back your battery. Save your money and buy an intake or somethin
