99 Tahoe Steering Jerk/Surge
My 99 Tahoe has the famous jerky steering problem. I've been doing a little reading up on this and have come to the conclusion that the most likely cause is the Steering Wheel Position Sensor (also called EVO sensor) which is located at the base of the steering column. The part is about $75.00 from the Chevy Dealer. Has anyone replaced this sensor themselves? I'm told it takes about an hour. It's not clear exactly how much disassembly is involved or how difficult/easy it is to replace. Anybody with experience on this?,
