Oil Change Should Be Done ???when?
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO DO AN OIL CHANGE ON MY MAX THAT HAS OVER 100K MILES AND DRIVE IN THE CITY? ABOUT HOW MANY MILES IS GOOD 2000-3000????:smoker2:

3,000 miles or every 6 months if your using regular motor oil.
Synthetics can go much longer.

One of the best ways of keeping your engine in the best conditions is by having the oil changed regularly. I agree with the periodicity of 6 months or 3,000, but if you rev high, and often your car, a synthetic oil is a must, or if you ride it in very dusty conditions, high temperature, maybe 3,000 would be a limit and 2,500 would be preferable, as even if the oil is in perfect condition, dust and particles might form, and scratch (they can be very abrasive, the inner engine parts pistons, valves, etc). Remember synthetic oil was developed for airplane enmgines in extreme conditions (World War II)
