Connecting a second amp?

Ok currently im running a profile ap1200 for my 2 RE8's

if i were to amp my speakers

http://cgi.ebay.com/JL-AUDIO-TR650-C...QQcmdZViewItem

with a ap600

http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-Profil...QQcmdZViewItem

that would be enough right?

but ya, my main question is....

my ap1200, is connected by 4 gauge wire, would i need a distribution block then?

like do i actually NEED it or can i just connect a fused 8 gauge wire and then a ground without any distribution blocks?

Re: Connecting a second amp?

You dont need a distribution block, but it makes it a little easier to install. You can just run like 0 or 4 gauge from the batt. to the block, then just split the appropriate wires to your amps from that. Then you dont have to go drilling more holes in your firewall then necessary.

Re: Connecting a second amp?

well i have an mr2, my battery is in the frunk, and so is the amp, and hopefully i can fit the smaller amp there too

but ya, i would do a dist. block but it would go 0/1 gauge, split into what? cuz i need 4 and then the small amp can only take 8 gauge, do they make blocks like that?

Re: Connecting a second amp?

ya i looked there, didnt bother looking to hard

but ya

http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-12

that would work, do i just need the one fuse in the block? or do i need one on each wire or on the main input wire?

but i COULD just connect it without the block right? im not gonna be running through any grommets so......
