PGM-FI stands for ProGraMmed Fuel Injection. The PGM-FI light is basically a check engine light, which can mean quite a few things.
You will need to get your ECU scanned to find the problem code which will narrow down the problem. If you have a '96+ car, most Autozones will scan your ECU for free. If not, you can scan it yourself. Please try asking in your specific car's forum where you can get more detailed help. Others there, will be able to tell you how to retrieve the code and what the code means for your specific vehicle. Thanks, and welcome to AF.
