Surges whilst driving.

When driving our 2002/3 sportage, recently it seems to have surges where it loses power then regains it. Its like you are hopping along the road, at first we thought we must have got bad fuel as it feels like a blockage. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: Surges whilst driving.

Finally had to have our car fixed and it ended up being the Air Flow Valve which once fixed all the problems.
