07 Yukon grille install
Does anyone know if you need a special tool to remove the stock GMC grille on the 07' Yukon? I ordered a Denali grille and there are these plastic hooks that are holding it in and I am at a loss. Don't wanna break it so I thought I would ask before I paid the dealer to do it. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for you time.

Re: 07 Yukon grille install
I'm sure it comes apart since almost all new cars are like snap together models. I haven't messed with one yet. I'd just take my time and try it. You might have to take the whole thing off and do it from behind.

Re: 07 Yukon grille install
I thought about that and was wondering if you maybe had to pull the whole front facia off to install it. Factory parts dont come with instructions

Re: 07 Yukon grille install
I just changed out the grill on my 04 Denali a few weeks ago. I hit a wild turkey and it cracked the front grill and moulding. It was an easy swap. On the Denali the outer chrome plastic moulding is connected to the grill. You need to remove the whole thing as one piece. Once you get it off of the truck you can remove the grill from the moulding. Not sure if its the same on the 07 because of the new body style, but I would assume the grill and moulding would be connected. Good LUck.

Re: 07 Yukon grille install
For anyone who cares, I finally figured it out. There are two bolts that hold the front facia right to the outsides of the bolts that hold the front grille on. By removing these bolts you can basically fold the top of the grille down far enough to get your hand in there to release the clips from the backside. It was quite easy once I figured that part out. I hope that this may be of some help to someone in the future as I am just a troll here! Sure am enjoying my new Yukon though!
