i'm planning on going out. wish i knew about this ahead of time so i could prepare a really good model. but i'll enter one that's box stock...maybe two.

This is my first post, I'd like to say Hello!!!!!

I went both days. Frankly, I was dissapointed at the turn out of Car models. For example there was only one 1/12 scale entery and maybe 6 or 7 1/20 F1 cars on display. I'd say total for Cars & Motorcycles couldn't have been more then 100 enterys.

I have been building models for around 37 years although I had stopped for about ten years. Not a constouse decision, I just was interested in other things at the time. I've been collecting again now for about four years. Some of you have asked, "How do you know if you have a kit already" Well, with a big long list. My list is 1700 line items long including decal transkits and dress up parts.

I started a 1/12 scale modification of the Tamiya Porsche 935 (into a MOBY DICK version) a couple of years ago with the intention to enter it a TamiyaCon. After the weak showing this year I'll have to get my butt in gear and get it finished for next year. Look for photo's in the "in progress" thread area later.

Welcome Derek! Nice seein' you at T-Con and other gatherings, and here. The turn out was down a bit this year, but maybe the LBGP had an effect on that. There's always next year... - Mark
