hey i'm trying to install lights upder my dash now i bought a light socket and its got 3 wires.. ok black is ground but whats the yellow and brown one mean... maybe ones for power all the time and the switch wire :S can anyone help

The lights under my dash have the ground, one wire to the light switch reostat(dimmer) and one wire that connects to the door switches that operate the lights when door is open. The colors of the wires are different then yours,but maybe this will help..Jim

What Kinda of lights are they? Are They interior light, or an accesory light? What year is the Vehicle? -Sean
