The spacer is going to "decrease" the distance from the TB to the filter box by however thick it is!! If you can get around that, go for it.

Re: k&n/throttle body spacer info

I've got an 02 5.3L/4WD with the Series 77 K&N system and and Airaide throttle body spacer and clutch fan...there is NOT enough room for the K&N intake hose to clear the fan shroud. The hose is smashed up against the shroud and clears the fan @ less than 1/4 inch. I'm removing it for 2 reasons... 1 - clearance, 2 - no notable performance increase with the K&N.

FIY - there is a thinner (~1/2" thick) throttle body spacer on the market that would allow the needed clearance if you still want to install one. Let me know and I'll look up the brand if you need.

Hope that helps!

Re: k&n/throttle body spacer info

you cannot run the k&n with a throttle body spacer, it will not line up or seat properly, i removed the spacer, did not notice a difference enough to keep it. also it whistles while driving, it got annoying after a while.
