Following to close and question

So my girl friend got a warning ticket for following to close the otheer day. I honestly dont know how far away she was driving but there are a few questionnos about the warning. Will this go on her record or affect her insurance? and in the part for defective equipment he wrote down 06-6802 in the other section. Does anyone know what that means?
Thanks
c

Re: Following to close and question

Following too close will probably go on her record, as it's a moving violation. I've seen many young female drivers 5' off of someone's bumper at highway speeds. As far as it affecting her insurance, it depends on her age, previous record and the insurance company she's with.

As far as the equipment violation, can't help you without knowing what jurisdiction the ticket was written in. Do a Google search for your area and put in the code number and you should get some information. Also, the cop would have told her what the violation was for.

Re: Following to close and question

A warning ticket will not go on your record and will not affect insurance. A warning ticket is useless and has no consequences and is usually issued when it's a minor offense and the officer thinks the person that got pulled over looks pretty good and feels like being nice. I wouldn't worry about the ticket, her record, insurance, or even what that code was as it's only a warning and doesn't matter.
