Bosch part#s/Cold Starting problem diagnosed

I have diagnosed my cold-start problem. The car starts, revs high for a couple seconds, dies, and after repeating (turning the key five or six times, and waiting for it to die, and trying again, etc...) it runs fine (when it gets warm enough) --it's the warmup regulator (control pressure regulator) (it shows only 11.5 ohms).
Upon checking everywhere, I find no one sells one with a gasket (I'm p.o.'d again). Oddly enough, where ever I check the Bosch part#0438140026, I get a listing for an 1984 1.7 cont. press. reg. with the note: 'high altitude'.

I just happen to get one off a Scirocco in a local junkyard, last year, but forgot to write the VIN down. My regulator that worked so well, before it died, has a part# of '043 814'...then I think there are four more digits, although the next one after those six digits is really faded (not sure if it's really a '0', to read 043 814 0026. The '043 814 0026's are (supposedly) high altitude—not the same as the one I got from the Scirocco, the 043 814 0073.

Would anyone be able to run the 0438140073 part number to see what types/years/engine sizes/altitudes of cars a regulator with that part number would go on? I am ready to make a gasket, myself.
