93 capri engine swap

What kind of high performance engine will fit this car? Would I have to swap the 5 speed tranny?

depending on where you live a variety of motors are available for a swap
i'm saving to put in a japanese bpt motor but now have second thoughts. one day maybe.

Re: 93 capri engine swap

well the most logical upgrade would be the b6t motor which came standard on some capris
same 1.6l dohc but turbo charged
its quite a capable motor for the capri's weight. from there if you're a keen tuner you can buy bolt on performance parts.
you're lucky i've only got a 1.6 8valve sohc. it doesn't like seeing the upper reaches of the tachometer
