Do you have the JL Powerwedge box, if so does it have good sound quality with the W3's? I never heard any story about a stock 4 banger beating any disgustang. The only thread I can recall is the SVT vs. the SI. If I remember right the Cobra was driven by a 16 year old, and the SI was runnin like 20 lbs of boost, and was owned by some dood with a performance shop.

Why don't you go away? God. Where are you? Bring both your SVT's to my town for an ass whippin'. It won't come from me, but my friend's Type R will beat your Cobra, any day of the week.

I also know a Civic with bolt on's that will make you look like a jackass in your Contour. Bring them both, have your boyfriend drive the contour, and bring some cash. The guys I know aren't going to race your Cobra for anything but money, because it's something they call a waste of time.

I just openly brought a challenge to you, if you back out then that means two things. One, your manly domestic balls just shrank to peanuts, and two, you don't drive an SVT Cobra or an SVT Contour.

SVT Contours run mid to low 15's. Integra Type R's run high 14's stock. So where do you get off thinking you can beat Type R's easy?

I'll run you in two weeks. I won't beat your Cobra but I will definitely make hamurger helper out of your Contour.

I'm just curious as to why you made this post about being tired of hearing about stock imports beating Cobra's...Where did you see anything like that?? Quote it for us...

Well, buddy, your SVT is so fast is it? Well I was just looking at some numbers and the SVT Contour does 0-60 in about 7.9 seconds. My dad's 300M is faster than that, hell look S2Corolla, he has very minimal mods and he is 0-60 in 7.3 seconds. Get real and don't come in here bashing people. You compare a car with a V6 to cars with 4 cylinders, look ma I beat a guy on a riding lawn mower.

lol

I'm not proud of 7.3 btw. It's good, but it's not great.

I've been working and saving up to get a Spec V, what do you guys think of that? I was gonna get this GSR but I had my mechanic look at it and he said it has a real bad oil leak. Something about some oil squirter being bad. Hard driving I guess.

Hey Polygon, what's your 0-60? Have you taken the GTC to the track yet? I'm interested to know how it runs in the 1/4. I heard they get bad 60' because of their weight but once turbo lag is up they fly.

The Spec V is bad ass, and its a great value... I was going to buy one till I found out I would be paying just as much on insurance as I would on payments each month

I have a speeding ticket and a speed contest ticket on my record. What you just said, gave me a new meaning to the word "shit attack".

Now I have to get a quote from my insurance.

I hope your name is making fun of the thread that says 00 svt, because they didn't make a Cobra in 2000 because of the problems the 99 cobra had.

Oh and that sounds like a pretty nice Cobra, but my friend Joey has an Integra Type R with slicks in his hatch. He has lowered compression pistons, a sleeved engine, with ported and polished cylinder head, skunk 2 intake manifold, ceramic coated t3/04 hybrid ball bearing turbo, spearco front mount intercooler, stage 2 dual friction street/track clutch, aluminum lightweight flywheel, turbo exhaust, a B&M shortshifter, mugen chipped ecu to rev up to 9500. He has dual valve springs, titanium retainers on 4 angle valves.

I haven't seen his timeslips yet because he lives in so.cal, and the nearest 1/4 is up in palmdale, but I can say that he beat a modded TT Supra that had a turbo upgrade and a top speed of 180.

Heh insurance is horrible on fast cars for people my age (18)...

All that is on my record is one accident (no damage to other cars/people... just property damage), and even the insurance on a 93 240sx w/full coverage was going to be 300 a month

Now I have a speeding ticket that will be going on there too in a bit

The 00 SVT Dubs, the dubs are on the contour. They arent even dubs, they are 17 Konigs. Its just a phat name. Its hard to tell class by a name. Im by no means ripping on rice, I personally don't like hearing weedwackers going down the road. I have exhaust on the contour and it sounds like shit, not like rice shit though. My cobra is how it should be. I have problems with rice wasting american cars gas when they race, especially the ones that are bone stock with a UFO body kit on it and they talk it up to beat Z's and GT's. I definately registered just to tell you all that weedwackers and fartcans suck. Body kits do more harm than good plus they look like a UFO, and the spoilers do no good, unless you are on a runway. All rice sux, except supra's, VR-4's and
rx-7's. Anything else is a waste of time and money.
