sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

well 1st off new to the forum and its pretty sweet
so far have found it very helpful

well lets et to the good stuff

i am planning on buying a 89-94 240 sx in the near future

what i want to do cosmeticly is get the get it like the signal auto guys have thiers and yes i plan on drifting thats what i am pretty much building it for

but anyway i want to get the S13 TAILS, S15 HEADLIGHTS and front end, SR20DET with somewhere between 400-500 HP (enough to drift with), complete roll cage, stripped interior, racing seats and harness, and as much carbon fiber that i can get like hood, wing and all that good stuff

Q#1. is it hard to do the S15 swap front end ??

Q#2 what do i need to complete the front end swap ??
i have heard that you need lights, hood, bumper, fenders, and core support ?? just tell me everything i need

Q#3 what would i need to get to have 400+ HP caise i want to upgrade just about everything (EBAY IS MY FRIEND lol)

Q#4 is there any threads on here that show how to do a front end swap and inststall on a SR20 in a 89-94 240 ???

Q#5 anybody trying to sell or know where i can find the car, parts, engine i need??

thanks for all your help

1#. If your know what you're doing and have the right tools it shouldn't be too hard.

2#.Yup that's pretty much it.

3#.400+hp on an SR takes much more than bolt ons lol (Ebay can also screw you in the ass lol)

4#.http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/search.php

5#.There's a section/forum here for buying and selling, ebay? local newspapers?

good luck

Re: sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

just a tip, if you want to be drifting, dont be trying to make the car look nice. You will be crashing, not matter what anybody says, you will crash. And i wouldnt worry about 400-500hp, because if you were able to get that you wouldnt be asking us how. Drifting way would be to get an LSD, coilovers, and a basic SR setup with minor bolt ons (intake, exhaust, FMIC, T28 turbo, etc).

Re: sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

naw i am not really asking yall how to get 400+ HP i already kinda know and have help for that already
mostly i was just wondering about the body modifications and stuff
just wanted to see what yall were thinking

and yeah i know that i will need that LSD, and coilovers and stuff

ive been a big drifting fan for a while now i just want to do it for real
ive got a couple friends that like the auto cross and road courses and stuff like that but they wanna try drifting too so itll be fun with a couple guys too

Re: sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

yeah its fun and all, but the reason signal has really nice looking cars and drifting is because they rarely crash, and can afford it. I would either pick between a nice street car thats quick, or a semi stock body car that drifts good.

Re: sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

yea man im gunna strongly suggest that you hold off on alot of the body mods for a while. get your 400hp or whatever even though that much power is not really needed in order to drift but if thats your goal then go for it. as far a s15 front end goes though someone make a conversion kit s13 to s15 so thats not to hard. i stya away from e bay for most parts. suspension sold on e bay is normally shit and watch out for the "freddy" parts. and ive also heard a lot of people making fake tein suspension shit but tein sucks for coilovers anyways. back to the body be careful cause if u go wild on the body then start to get serious into drifting you will fick up the body have u ever noticed how many drifters are missing front bumpers and shit like that just think about it be wide w/ your money

yes direct bolt to a hatch. and no they arent as expensive but they arent cheap. i think you want more of a show car then a drift ar though you seem to cherish F&F to much

Re: sup guys, new here, wanna ask a few questions???

hahaha slidestar, that was the first thing i thought too!!

as for this magical drift car, don't spend money on a s15 conversion until you know how to drift. don't even mod your engine till you know how to drift. hit n run got it right on. you WILL crash if you become a drifter. you can't do anything about that. not even argue. find a s13 with an engine and shitty body, learn to drift AND THEN build a car. don't think the signal drivers learned how to drift in those $20,000 s13s. i know r.w. had a sweet suspension setup, which obviously will make just as much of a difference as a more powerful engine will. so instead of building an engine, try building the suspension setup first so that you know how a proper drift setup feels like
