what would the LT1 run??
My buddy has a 97 SS LT1. Its got flowmasters, cam, MAF, and a few other bolt ons done to it. What would he run. He is a very good driver and knows when to shift. I didnt ask him but figured hed run something like 12.7-12.8. Is that being generous or will he run much faster.

all right, ill find out more tommorow. Hes talking shit about my buddies LS1. How he could walk him. Hes gotta LS6 intake, i think flowmaster, 411's and lid. im prettu sure its a 99 non ws6. 6spd. Should the LS1 have the advantage in the 1/4 mile?? and if so by how many cars lengths if any??

Well its gonna happen sometime soon. My friend swapped out his 411's and went back to the stock 323's. Hes just got a lid, intake, and flows. I think there gonna go from a 65 mph roll. What would be the best way to beat this LT1. My friend is scared and intimidated buy this guy. He says hes runs high 12's.

Why did he go back to stock gears?? BTW...stock M6 gears are 3.42's.
Close race I think. I think the 4.11's gave the LS1 car the advantage, but if he removed them it might be close.

Yeah im pretty sure there gonna go from a roll, speed i dont know but i dont think there gonna go from a dig. So if you were betting who would you bet on. by the way the LT1 has 150K miles on it.

I'm betting the LT-1 toasts him. The ls 1 is great, and hoorah, but that lt1 only has about 35hp less, and he has made that up easily with his mods, and if he's a good driver to boot, pluubbb, race over.

They actually made anywhere from 40-60 RWHP less than an LS1 car.  Still...should be close. The LT1 doesn't pick up on power with the cam like an LS1 does. That is in the heads, where the LS1 shines.
