any F1s in Monaco.

In 2 weeks time I'll be some days in Monaco and I wondered if there are any McLarens out there.

I had some discussions on supercarfrance.com that there are NO F1's owned in Monaco.

true?

Re: any F1s in Monaco.

Apparently, there is one, a red one. But it is privately owned, and not on display to the public. I am not even sure if this information is correct, but it was given to me by the gentleman who looks after a very big collection of cars scattered over several countries. Basically, yes, there might be at least one there. But it's not possible to arrange to go see it, if it is indeed there.

Re: any F1s in Monaco.

well I know some people who liver all their lives in Monaco and they never saw an MC registered F1 there...

Would be very nice to spot it though if it is true 'bout the red one

According to - http://www.qv500.com/mclarenf1p2.php - there are at least 2, 021 (of which i have no pictures (subtle beg there, did you notice?..... )) and 028, well documented on here

Also, Carl Beal changed his F1 to match his red Enzo (IIRC)

hurstg01, there are a few pictures of #021 because it was at the Park Lane showroom for a little while. Can't remember which thread these pics were in though.

Greg, Search for thread titled, "park lane showroom history" (2003). It has pic of the red f1. Some debate, over being photoshoped??

Re: any F1s in Monaco.

Hello,

It is very difficult to answer this question. From one part, it seems to be logical there are F1s in Monaco and from other part, we see noone !
Coulthard was seen in a F1 during his carreer for McLaren and someone told me he saw Hakkinen in late 2001 with a F1 in Monaco. I can't tell you if it is true or not

Phil

Re: any F1s in Monaco.

I can confirm that Hakkinen has been seen driving an F1 in London. I don't know if it was his or not.
