Re: Wire question
Do you have a wiring diagram for your car? Look at one and identify what wires are in the engine compartment and what they do.
If you make an enlarged copy of the wiring diagram it will help make it easier to read and make notes on. Guessing is not the way to go. Having your circuits properly connected and fused is the way to go. When you are done, make a reference copy of the modifications. This will make it easier for you in the future if you need or want to change or repair something. |

Re: Wire question
I just bought a Painless kit for my car. Its for an old model T or something like that. All it runs is all lights, horn, and 1 extra which I will use for my cigarette lighter so I can plug the LM-1 into it.

Re: Wire question
Before you buy, make a list of all the electrical devices you will need. (ie, lights, fans, radio, fuel pump, etc.)
There are places that will also make a custom harness for you for not too much more money. |

Re: Wire question
Well for my car all I need is headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, reverse lights, running lights, dome light, horn, windsheild washers, and cigarette lighter. I am running an electric fan and fuel pump as well but they will be custom wired up seperate. I may put both on a toggle switch, not sure yet. I will have a hidden switch to kill the fuel pump though so that the car cant be stolen. Cant steal a car with no fuel pressure
. Also I have all Autometer guages that have their own lights so that will be easy to do as well. Just wire them into the headlight switch. When the headlights come of the dash lights will too.So I bought the 8 circuit modular (can mount fuse box anywhere I want) T-bucket harness that Painless recomended.
