94 ranger steering
My 94 ranger has vibrations in the steering column. It is noticeable when idling. It started about two years ago. To start with I could push up on the steering wheel a little and it would stop. Now it seems to do it all the time. I have looked but can't find where the vibration is coming from. It also is loose when driving and when I turn the wheel left it will start pulling a little to the left, when I turn to the right it will start pulling a little to the right. Don't know if these are related or not, I may have more than one problem. |

Re: 94 ranger steering
When the steering column is installed, the steering box is already mounted ... the two are connected together near the floor pan using a splined coupling. Lift the dust boot, near the floor/firewall, that surrounds the column ... you should see this coupling.
Rotate the strng wheel while inspecting this area for looseness. |
