When the vehicle is in park or neutral and I accelerate over say 4000 RPM it's as if the engine wont accelerate any more...it acts as if it's mis-firing. Im not prone to reving the engine but I did notice it to be odd when I discovered this yesterday? The vehicle drives/accelerates fine- no issues noted when in drive
Is this normal? |

Re: RPM question-99 Lesabre- is there something wrong?

Yes this is called a rev limiter. It's to keep the engine from over reving. I wouldn't recommend doing this! Regards Dan
