Re: How Can I remove the arm rest on the seats?
What year? What kind of seat? Many of the front seats with flip-down arm rests have a detent that stops the arm rest in the lower position. If you lower the arm rest to this stop, then push inward against the arm rest with about 50 pounds of force, the arm rest will swing down even lower, then disengage. Once it's off, you can do whatever you want with it.

It is a 2000, and it is on the front driver seat.

Re: How Can I remove the arm rest on the seats?
Well, it seems I was wrong on TWO counts. First, the armrest could be removed by rotating it fully UPWARD (not down), then pushing inward, and rotating it back farther so it disengages.
Also that seems to be applicable to 1995-older Astros. The 1996 and newer models supposedly have a "C" clip that is accessible from the inside of the seat frame. If you unzip the seat back upholstery, reach up and in, you can remove the "C" clip. |
