The passenger side mirror (just the mirror, not the assembly) on my '99 Tahoe fell off today when my son shut the door. Does anyone know the proper procedure for reattaching it? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. The adhesive on the mirror just seems to be worn out, it is still tacky but the mirror keeps coming off.

Re: Side Mirror
First, I would put the mirror in a safe place so it doesn't get broken before you get a chance to fix it. Then I would remove the old adhesive from the mating surfaces with some mineral spirits. The mineral spirits solvent is safe for use on most plastics and paints but is slow acting. Finally, ask your dealership shop manager what adhesive they would use to repair this problem.

Re: Side Mirror
Take it to a glass shop they will have the correct stuff to glue it back on.
