Chipping my 99 silverado
So once I put my lift on with the bigger tires the cruise control is annoying the hell out of me. I would love for my truck to run at slightly higher RPMS( 2100-2200) on the highway to keep the speed from dropping slightly and my cruise control kicking into higher rpms around 2700-3000. I'm curious if I get this chip can I set my engine to run at higher rpms to stop this from happening? Thanks again guys

Re: Chipping my 99 silverado
Well, chipping or tuning your PCM will help, not sure if it will ultimatly get you what you are looking for. It may help, but the only true solution is in all honesty (turbo, supercharger, or gearing). Gearing would be the least expensive. If you are running the 3.73's you would want to up them to at least 4.11's, although most people that run 35's regear to 4.56's. Hope this helps. Also love the wheels, im getting the 20" Flatheads on tuesday.
