Re: Bad News........

Cat litter to get as much of it up as possible using a broom to move the litter around.

After that I would use a degreaser and stiff brush, rinse with water. Repeat as necessary with the degreaser.

Re: Bad News........

yea...they also make a product "oil dry" thats like cat litter..... might also look for some concerete cleaner. I know saftey clean use to make some good stuff (kind of yellow granular stuff) don't know if you can get that at your lcoal car parts place or not.

Re: Bad News........

Pressure washing the driveway will get the vast majority of it up

Re: Bad News........

I think my I've seen my dad use laundry detergent. But I would use a pressure washer.

Re: Bad News........

After getting the surface oil up with kitty litter, get some powdered tide use quite a bit, get it wet but not enough to wash it away then with a stiff brush scrub, may need to repeat. If you have access to a steam cleaner try that first, it will not require as much elbow grease and, it will work better than a preasure washer.

Re: Bad News........

Try Muriatic acid but be careful it will bleach ur cement, kill grass, eat the rubber of your tires and kill small animals. SO BE CAREFUL. But it works great

Yes this works very good, almost too good. May turn oil spot into clean white spot, then you can do the whole drive way to match. Pool acid I think is muratic type. Don't use sulfuric or worse hydrochloric.

Re: Bad News........

If my son said "Dad I changed my own oil and the iwnd made me cause a mess" I would be proud of him, provided he tried to clean it, which you are.

Simple green mixed with bleach (use outdoors only) will remove it. I have a 77 ford f150 daily leaker and I live in a leased house, you bet I tried everything. Untill I found a magic formula. I mixed it in a deck sprayer (or a pump up bug sprayer thing) and use it for spot cleaning. Make sure you have fresh air, its pretty harsh stuff but works great!!
Good Luck!!
