Re: no instrument lights
hm I think you might need to take out the little bitty bulb(s) inside the cluster. I dont know how to get to them. I did have to replace the bulbs for the vent selector and the a/c switch. From honda they're like a buck a pop if I remember correctly. Expensive little things. The ones I got came with plastic threads (that didnt fit, but the bulb was right) attatched. Undo the wiring of bulb from the threads and replace your old one with it, and you're good to go! (so worth it, though. now i can see where the air is coming from!)

Re: no instrument lights
The bulbs are little brown nubs all over the back and top of the cluster.

Re: no instrument lights
Sounds like a short or ground problem.

Re: no instrument lights
I have found that the problem with the cluster lights to usually be the larger (of two) wire connections into the cluster. Sometimes you can whack the top of the cluster, but this is not a permanent fix. It is unlikely to be all of the bulbs at once. You can access this plug by removing the trim piece surrounding the cluster (5 or 6 screws, w/ two near windshield) - Removing the plug, cleaning with contact cleaner, or equivelant seems to help. I've done this twice over the 12 years I've owned my car.

Re: no instrument lights
have you recently done any work under the dash? I just gutted my crx to paint the panels...there is a ground on the back of the cluster that grounds the entire unit...nonetheless, I think it would be impossible to blow every single bulb at once (there are six or more)...likely a ground issue, or a loose connection on the back of the cluster....

Re: no instrument lights
there is a little black box under the dash...it looks like it has a speeker on it...(i think it beeps when you first start the car) its right above the gas peddle...make sure all the wires are pluged in good...i guess its a ground or something...i broke a black wire on one corner of the clip and the dash lights didnt work.
