2002 alero or 2003 malibu

I just wanted some opinions on the alero. I am looking at a 2002 alero with about 70,000 miles on it. I would appreciate any owner opinions on the car.

Re: 2002 alero or 2003 malibu

I have a 2002 Alero GL1 V6 with about 60K miles on it. I've had problems with it, but they've all been under warranty. Most of the issues I've had have been cosmetic, like a warping dash.

Before my Alero I owned a 1997 Malibu and it was the worst vehicle ever...no joke. I owned it for about a year and a half and in that time it broke down (left me stranded) 5 times.

We've got a 2002 GL2 and it has been pretty good. All of our problems were resolved while it was still under warranty. I guess only time will tell.
