Tried to remove radiator (with pics.), Immediate help pls.

today l tried to remove the radiator and l dont know what is goin on..

here are the pics and the questions are on the pics..

also any instructions would appriciated..

Red fluid is tranny fluid.
It is a tranny cooler. Helps keep your transmission fluid cooled. Just make sure you fill your tranny back up when done.

You don't have two radiators. The one that looks like it is a radiator is actually your A/C condensor. Should be able to move that enough outta the way to get the radiator out.

so you mean, l should unplug whatever is connected gto the radiator and l shoiuldnt worry about it? and also that big metal hose too that l took pic but l didnt unplug??

also, l couldnt undersatnd the last sentence.. will l have to remove the a/c condestor or l will just move it a little to take the radiator out?

The condensor will just lift up a little and you can push it back away from the radiator enough to remove your radiator. You should not remove any of the a/c system lines! Once you open the a/c system, you will have to pull vacuum on it to remove any moisture from the system before you recharge the system. In any case, don't need to remove any a/c lines/components.

So far, looks like your doing good. The tranny fluid that is coming out is minimal and you should only have to add maybe a pint of fluid when you get everything back together. That leaking is normal though as Curtis said.

The big metal hose at the bottom stays connected. It shouldnt interfere with what your doing. You may want to remove the air box.intake hoses completely all the way to the throttle body. It will give you more room to work and slide the condensor and radioator around and out.

you say that l dont have to remove that pig metal hose? and also l didnt have to unplug the tranny fluid hose?

let me tell u this,

each side of the radiator has black plastic thing and those hoses are connected to there.. l have to unplug them, dont l?

because l am thinking now, if l wont unplug that big metal hose, when l try to lift up the radiator, it will not let to take the radiator out.. am l right?

thanks man,... now l am at work, DAMN... 1000 college girls came all around the USA to stay here for 5 days.. l am like in the HEAVEN.. man they are all beatiful.. l havent seen any ugly one yet.

tomorrow when i wake up, l will start to work on the radiator again and hopefully l will be able tio taske it off safely.

by the way, HOW MUCH IS A RADIATOR?

No...you DO have to remove the tranny fluid lines. I do not believe you need to pull the big line you have an arrow pointed at. A radiator is probably going to be a couple hundred dollars give or take.

Actually, if that big line is connected to the black plastic of the radiator, then you will have to pull it. If it is not and connected to the a/c or something then you should not have to.

The other guys are right on track. Yes, you did have to remove the transmission lines, the tranny cooler is INSIDE the radiator. DO NOT remove the "big metal hose"! It is an A/C line and you do NOT need to remove it. Remove all the rubber hoses and tranny lines from the radiator. It should pull up, the bottom has rubber mounts, it may take a little force to get it to move. As Ceeping Death said, you probably want to remove the air intake hoses all the way to the throttle body, it will give you more room.

Finally removed it and put the new one.. everything is perfect,

l wanted to remove the water pump for OPTI and l carack the pump. sop far no leak and l dont wanna mess with pump anymore..

l saved some bucks!!!
