How hard is it to get to the check engine light 99.5 Jetta
My 99.5 Jetta 2.0 is running fine but the check engine light keeps coming on and the code says lean Fuel , the mass air flow has been replaced and the braided vaccum hoses going to the Kombi as well as a new hose on the evap system.
Is it possible to just get to the check engine light, take it out and paint it black or something so it does not show up on the dash ? has anyone else done this ? Someone said if you take it out and leave it out the car may not run right? thanks Last edited by 1stvw; 03-31-2006 at 01:36 PM. |

Replace the front o2 sensor. Its only about 25.00 or so and it can cause this code.

Well, not sure. My dealer did something like that with my light. They couldn't get it to shut off. It came on the day I drove it home and was on for almost the entire 2 years that I owned it.
