Replace 1999 Suburban fuel pump

Anyone with experience dropping the fuel tank to gain access to the fuel pump?

I don't see how to easily disconnect the fuel intake attached to the fuel take. It seems to be unaccessible, yet it needs to be removed first so that tank can be dropped.

Re: Replace 1999 Suburban fuel pump

Open the fuel tank door and remove gas cap and remove the 3-4 screws tht hold the filler pipe top bracket to the body.
That will take the filler pipe lose from body and let it drop down .
And go from there.
Also on a lot of them I pull drive shaft to get more room on the side of fuel tank.
Good Luck
MT.
