Question what comes first, and next? ...paint job, body kit, rims, etc.

Yo, I have a 92 Honda Accord, 4 door, and I have about $3000 to customize it in any way. It is a glossy green car, a color i dont like, so i wanted to make it maybe Pearl Silver. Also want to add a spoiler and euro lights. Racing rims would be cool too, and i wanna lower the bitch. A body kit comes in play somewhere over there but i dont know how much money i will have left for it. I wanted to also upgrade engine parts, maybe add a turbo kit or sumthin for exhaust. So plz someone help me out on how to manage what things and in what order i should get them. Thnx.

get it lowered!!!! thats number one for me..

get some coil-overs, shocks, those ugly euro lights you want, spoiler and some rims. (money all gone)

do you really hate the color that much? if not, get a body kit-paint that. and some rims and coil-overs.

oh just get and H22.

there's other combos it really depends on you.

Simply is right... the only thing uglier than glossy green paint, is fender gap. and you can save a couple hundred by keeping your stock lights. imo euros dont look that nice, and they sure as hell dont add hp... unless you buy them from some idiot on ebay as for the rest it all depends on what you want more, style or speed. and of course how much you want to pay for each part. you can get regular parts or pay 3times as much for name brand shit.
Personally, i'd keep the paint for now(costs too much to change). lower it(springs, not coils), rims(at least 17") and with the last grand add a couple horses. highflow cat, muffler, headers, cai and aem pulleys. and of course, when possible, DIY. unless you go all out with a swap, youre not gonna be fast... but with a little here and there, at least you wont be gettin passed by metros.

Don't paint it now. That alone is like around $2500 and up just to respray. You are dramatically changing the color. That means they have to spray the door sills, engine bay, trunk, and everything else to make it look nice. Thats gonna be really expensive.

And PLEASE do not get the euro lights. Maybe for the front b/c those are only like $30 but don't get altezzas. For gods sake them things are at least $150 from everywhere I've seen. You can buy a lot of other stuff for $150. Plus everyone has them and IMO, it looks dumb now with these stock looking cars with chrome taillights.

What kind of spoiler do you want? OEM or big ass aluminum? I say go OEM at the most or maybe a low profile fiberglass one. Those aluminum ones will get you lots of stares and laughs from people as you drive by. I'm not trying to be mean, its the truth. I laugh at people all the time. It doesn't help your car since its front wheel drive. It just adds weight and useless extra downforce.

But its your money so do whatever you want. I'm just giving you my opinion.

Before you buy, go look at some other 4th Gen accords on some galleries like www.sounddomain.com They usually have a lot of them. You'll get a feel for what your car will look like with the mods you want.

Now if I had $3g's to blow, I'd screw looks and go for H22 swap (prelude engine). That gives you around 200 HP plus the nice little thing we call VTEC Then with your "ugly" paint and stock look you can be a sleeper and beat all kinds of rice boys.

if you are going to keep the car for more than just a few years you might want to reconsider painting it silver. silver and grey have a problem with sunlight in that it reflects off the paint and slowly eats the clearcoat from the inside out. take a look next time you are driving around at some older greyish colored cars you"ll see that the hood just looks like crap- the whole thing looks dull with weird dirty white streaks a few inches thick running the length. you probably won"t be able to notice it while driving but the same thing is most likely occuring the roof and trunk as well
