Remote Car Starter Problem

Whenever I use my car starter my car won't start. Not only will it not start with the starter but it won't start with the key either for a least five minutes after I attempted to use the starter. I don't touch anything but usually after about five minutes my car will start with the key. What happens after I try to use it is that the engine will turn over and immediately after it will turn off. I checked my battery and it still has power. My car starter was working fine before and I am not aware of anything that may have happened to make it not work. Any ideas of what is wrong and what could fix it would be greatly appreciated.

depends remote car thing on the starter could be freezing or something preventing it from starting. so maybe if u installed the remote part remove it and try it if it startes fine then get new one
