Unhappy 96 Bonneville with attitude

While driving, the car was running normal and then it made a single beep sound (a warning signal of a sort). Then car started running rough like it wanted to stall while I was driving. As i was coming up to a stop sign and started slowing down ( the car was still running rough) it beeped again. Concerned about car stalling on me, I pulled over and put car into park and kept my foot on gas pedal to where the RPM was fluctuating between 1500 and 2000 RPM's. I was sitting there with foot on pedal for about 30 seconds and then I took my foot off gas and car stalled on me after a few seconds. Immediately before the car stalled it beeped about 5 times and the check engine light came on. Car restarted roughly 10 minutes later and check engine light stayed on. The last time it did this was 14 days ago.
Can anyone help me with this please.
Thank You

Not much to work with here, make sure you have good cable connections, fully charged battery. See if it cranks and post pback.

Agree with comment above, and also confirm frame to engine ground resistance. It should be a low resitance 1 -10 Ohms. I had a 95 acting very unusual ran a new ground wire and all problems were solved. Good luck.
