Ok, Yet another project mustang!

I'm happy to report that our race team is putting together another car- We now have 3 mustangs in our fleet.

But anyway, the question I have for you all today is that we have a simple 5.0 litre H.O took stock cam, injectors, rockers, upper and lower intake off and replaced them with B303 cam, 30 lb injectors, 1.6 roller rockers, and cobra upper and lower intakes. Simple right? Took car to race track before we did all this and it ran 14.53 1/4 mile. Took it back after mods and ran 15.55 1/4 mile..slower i know but we thought problem was processor related but a run on the dyno this morning showed we were floating our valves, thus increasing flow into cylinders and equaling our slow times. The way the stock heads are set up in it (like all stock head on 5.0 motor) is a one valve spring setup. The debate we are having through out the shop is some guys wanna put a heavier spring in because the stock ones are weak. But i suggested new heads, and let me explain why. If we put heavier springs with the one v-spring setup were just going to weaken the springs again because of the cam. I told them we need a head with dual valve spring setup that way it will be able to support the force of the cam and hold better to not float the valves. PLEASE, give me your thoughts and input on this!!

you would nessicarly weekin the new valve spring they would shortin to fix this problem all you would do is buy longer springs so that theyed flex properly but yore still better of going for dual springs for better valve stability and a longer self life
