Speaker Replacement
I have a 98 Contour 2.0 L and think my right rear speaker is blown in the door. I was wondering if there is a way I can look at the speaker to see if it is in fact blown or not. I looked a the door and was hoping to just snap off the speaker cover but hesitated because i didn't want to break something.
I noticed screws in door carpet cover and took those out. Also took out the one screw in the door lock/window button area. and also the screw in the door cup. I tried to remove the door cover but still felt pretty secure. I removed the cup and could barely see the speaker. I think the door is still caught on the door lock/window button area. I know there is some type of wireing that goes on there but not sure how to get around it. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Thanks |
