How many miles can I expect to get out of this engine?

I've got a 91 with 97,000. How many miles have you guys seen on these?

depends on how well you take care of it and how soon and the quality you repair it. I just crossed 275K yesterday.. I need to rebuild the engine this summer and replace the brakes. My gas mileage is llike 20 mpgs and I dont have optimal compression.

Re: How many miles can I expect to get out of this engine?

okey, that all depends on how many miles u want to drive it. Just Kidding. I have a 1994 Geo Tracker with 228500 miles on it, still runs at idle spead normal, drives great and still gets better than manufactures fuel economy. I think the cars will practically run as long as you need them. I myself am planning some engine work this summer, such as piston rings, timing belt, and other things that I have neglected for a while.

Enjoy your tracker, and don't worry, u have another 100000 miles before you have to worry about any major work.
