Replacing seats

Hey, I have another question. Im looking to replace my seats in my 99 GASE. I got the basic model, no power seats, no power windows (yeah, it sucks,) but anyway, I found some seats that are out of a 2000 GA, but the drivers side is power (just the height adjustment), and I wanted to know if there was a way to wire the seat to the car so that it will work. Also, where can I find the color code of the interior of my car? I have looked in th glove box, on all of the doors, and in the trunk, and I havve no clue where else to look. Any suggestions?

Re: Replacing seats

color # should be somewhere in the trunk... sorta forgot where but it'll be in there...

The new seats sound nice, I wish I didnt have electric windows, (mine are dead basically)

If I were to get new seats Id go for leather interior but they make seat covers with leather and custom logos and such in a number of colors...

I just remembered where to find the color code now. It is in the trunk, and its in a place thats kinda hard to get to at the time. I got 2, 15 in subs in the trunk, and cought hell trying to get the box in the trunk, and I really dont wanna take all that stuff out just to get a simple code. Theres gotta be another way of finding it!
As far as me switching to leather, I thought about switching to leather, then I remembered, that shit gets hella hot during the summer, thats why im sticking to the cloth interior. By the way, these seats I want are out of a GT model, I never did care for the SE model seats. If I do get the seats, hopefully the holes on the floor will match up with the holes on the mounting bracket..

Re: Replacing seats

Well, the person I want to buy the seats from said that the drivers seat is all power (6way) and not just the height adjustment. Is there anyway of converting this seat to all manual? Oh yeah, while I was looking under the seat, there was some kind of connector ther that I didnt noticed. It looked like it was going into nothing (im unsure of this.) All I could tell that it was 2 small wires. Any idea on what its going to, if anything?

Re: Replacing seats

you can use the 6way power seat, I'll check and see whats needed, but I'm sure it'll wire right up to the fuse box that has to hav a relay for the seat to work right.

The loose wire is probley to the seat belt for that stupid idiot light on the dash that tell you to buckle up.

I really don't need to have it power. Is there any way to convert it to manual?

Dont think so. What would be the point, just take the top part(the seat) and put it on the hardware/adjuster from the other seat. THat wouldnt be to hard to swap out.
