Transmissions aren't rated in HP, they're rated in torque. Torque causes deflection, and ultimately failure. I think the getrag is rated at 240 ft/lbs. It depends on how you shift, how much torque you're actually putting behind it, if you have a LSD, how much traction you have, etc. . .
