96 Blazer Mirror Problem..

ok, well the other day, i went to adjust my mirror on the blazer, and it seems as if the left and right function will not work on the driver side mirror.. it works on the passenger side, and the up and down works on the driver side.. i cant begin to imagine what is wront with this.. if you have any suggestions, please let me know.!

The switch contacts get dirty or corroded so hit that button a few times more and bet it will work. Anyone had luck with contact cleaner on these?

ive tried hitting it a few times, does nothing.. could the contacts be dirty, even if the passenger side still works.?

this may help,

but a while back I couldn't put down the windows unless, it was put down by the driver's master panel. After playing with some of the wireing, I traced it to the window lock switch. So i was just gonna buy a new one, and i figured since im gonna trash it any way, i mine aswell see how it works, So i poped the rocker off, and the contacs were all ceroded. SO i took off the metal pice, cleaned and put it back together and it works like new. It just needed a lil cleaning

If the contacs in the mirror are the same as the window they may be dirty, I know ive had the windows down a few times and when the wipers wipe, the water run off comes right in the car, and seaps down the switches

May be its somthing simple as that

Happend to me as well.

Grab the mirror casing and with one of your two thumbs push the mirror on its gear.

You will here is jump a couple teeth and will reseat the mechanism on the track.

Works everytime for me.
