Ouch! Kind of like

I always wonder about that?

When do people normally get them pulled and must you have them pulled?

Ouch! I know how you feel. I had all 4 of mine taken out a few years ago too (2 of which were impacted). It’s no fun!

Damien: You just get them pulled if they start to hurt or if they start coming in and mess up your other teeth. I had braces, and when the wisdom teeth came in they started messing up the dental work. My G/F won't ever have to have hers pulled. The doc says hers don't look like they are going to come in.

Spec2: Isn't impacted when they come in and then start to go back down so taht the roots of the teeth form like little hooks on the end from being pushed back down???

My wisdom teeth are right in the back of my mouth, right were they should be, and the Dentist says I'll never have to get them pulled.

they make chewing so much... well the same
and as for the wisdom aspect... If their helping, I must be pretty dumb without them

but, i wish you a quick recovery so that you can return to eating rocks... or whatever

ouch that must hurt, I only had two taken out a while ago and that was painful..

and I've recently found out that the bottom two will most likely need to be taken out as they are grown inwards instead of up, thus they are pushing against the teeth next to them, worse still was told when they they are taken out bits of the jaw bone will have to be chipped away as well and the teeth will have to be broken into peices before removal aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! !!! painful just thinking bout it

When I had my wisdom teeth yanked, it was the best time I've EVER had in a dentists office. All four of them were impacted, all four growing horizontally towards the front of my mouth, not even breaking the gums. The one on my top right was slowly cracking the tooth next to it... every month or two, I'd spit out a small chunk of the tooth. I waited for 2 years before getting it done, just popped ALOT of Aleve (asprin). They had to drill each of the teeth into small pieces, and then pick out the pieces individually... But I didn't feel a damn thing. They gave me 5 minutes of oxygen enriched air, then 5 minutes of Nitrous (I was laughing like a mofo!), then knocked my ass out with some interveinous drug... Next thing I know, they're pushing me out the back door of the surgeons building where my buddy was waiting to drive me home, blood running down my chin with a blood soaked paper-towell catching the drops, stumbling all over the place, and there's 3 guys out behind this building doing groundskeeping, trimming the hedges and shit. They look up to see my bloody stumbling ass come out of the building, the look on their face was a Kodak moment, like "what kind of fucking building IS this?!"

Gave me some percodan, and aside from having to live on cottage cheese and ice cream for the next week and a half, I felt really good.

Basically mine were growing sideways and pushing into the teeth on either side. One of them had broken through the gumline, but the other one was still below. He took the other 2 non-impacted teeth out at the same time because he said that if he didn’t do it then, it wasn’t an operation that I would ever want to go through again, so he thought it better to take them all out and be done with it.

Yeah, I just went today for an examination and to make an appointment to get mine taken out. I'll get em out... August 3rd I think. All 4 are impacted and growing horizontally, I'm not lookin forward to it.

Aw! Ruin my fun!

Yeah, basically impacted is when they grow in sideways.

all 4 of mine have come in fairly properly. They are WAAAAAAY in the back, but dentist says that so long as they stay clean that we'll leave them be. Yay!
