ebay sucks sometimes
i figured out what my problem has been this whole time. the si harness i bought off ebay is infact a dx harness wired for multi point so now i have to do so much more work than planned.

Wow, that sucks! Ive never trusted ebay. I am having difficulties with my swap as well, and Im beginning to think that I may not have an SI harness either, but it may just not be from the right year range..which would still suck!
