Seat belt instillation
Hello,I am going to install some Volkswagen 3 point retractable seat belts in my 69 Volkswagen and I was wondering if anyone would have some pictures of how these are installed?I have a good idea of how they go in but I just wanted to make sure before I attempt the installation. The seat belts I'm using are from a 73 bug. Thanks for any help. Gary

Re: Seat belt instillation
Hee's a picture of the Super Beetle seat belts installed in my '69.
![]() The upper bolt hole is under the headliner on the "B" post. Poke around right under the assist strap with your finger and you'll find it. It's kind of tricky getting the main unit lined up with the "peg" in the right place, but, trust me, it does go in. The pieces that go into the tunnel are easy. They just bolt into the same holes that the stock '69 belts go into. Be sure to clip the wies for the seat buzzer, if yours has them. |
