Change Oil Light - Reset problem
Is it a know problem for 2002 Chevy Suburbans to not reset the change oil indicator manually?
My wife has a '02 Chevy Z71 Suburban w/ 56k miles. I've turned the engine to "On" (not started), pressed the accelerator 3 times and I get the "change oil" message to blink 5 times. When I start the vehicle, the message appears by blinking 5 times then shutting off. It won't remain off. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Change Oil Light - Reset problem
I believe you have to press the gas pedel 3 times within 5 seconds of turning on the ignition for it to work.
I usually turn on the ignition and start pumping the pedal a bunch of times and the light always goes off for me. //2000CAYukon |

Re: Change Oil Light - Reset problem
GM says three times but it usually ends up to be like 5.
