I have a 93 jimmy 4.3l I have removed the upper part of the plenum and removed the lines to each cylinder. I found puddles of fuel on the passenger side of the lower plenum. Is there supposed to be o rings on the poppets? Also is there an easy way to get all the crud out of the ports where the poppets go without all the crap getting down into those ports?

This is probably too late to help you, but no, there isn’t o-rings for the “poppets”. Mine did not have any gunk in the area of the injectors so I didn’t have to worry about it. I would find something like a ¼” rubber hose or whatever would fit in the socket to block them while cleaning. Then vacuum before removing the plugs. The puddles of fuel are undoubtedly due to a blown diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator that is attached to the injector assembly. You can confirm this by turning the key on with the upper manifold removed and watching for leaks. A helper really comes in handy so you can watch while the fuel pump is energizing. A new one can be purchased at Auto Zone

I endeed up making six plugs with an oring groove and tapping the center of the plug for a 10/32 screw then locktite to seal the threads of the screw. screw was 1 1/2"long o.d of the plug was about .480 and about 3/8 thick with a 3/8 deep groove for the 1/2" od oring. oring was 1/8 " thick. and it worked very well. after using a lot of carb cleaner and the air hose to blow it out everything worked out great. DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE OIL AFTER THIS!!
