Help Rear Parking Taillight

1992 Lebaron Convertible.
My rear parking light the ones that stay on while you have your lights on are not working. I checked all the fuses and they are good also my lights for the speedometer are not working. Anyone have this happen to them? Any suggestions?

Taillight Bulbs are good, I even replaced them for the hell of it as for the dash bulbs I am not sure how to do that.

Re: Help Rear Parking Taillight

It is possible the wires have rotted towards the back and are no longer connected. What you can do is get a test light to see if there is any power going to the bulb receptacle. If there is...it's a bulb problem...if there isn't, do the same thing where the fuse is located. You will have to remove the fuse to do this test. If you are getting power to the fuse, then it is a problem between there and the bulb receptacle....chances are it is a rotted wire. If you aren't getting any power to the fuse, then it's a problem between the battery and the fuse. Also possibly a rotted wire. I was having problems with my reverse lights not working all the time and when I looked under the back I saw the wires were almost completely rotted and coming apart.

As for your dash bulbs....chances are it's a wire problem since the bulbs used in the dash are LEDs. At least, that's what is used in mine.

Re: Help Rear Parking Taillight

Would you know whick number on the fuse block is for the parking lights, when I brought the car the fuse cover was missing so there is no labels for the fuses. I checked all the fuses they are ok none are blown. I ran a temporary 12V accessory line to the parking lights so they turn on with the ignition just so I could pass my inspection tomorrow.

When I slide the switch to dim the dash light nothing happens till I slide it all the way up then it turns on the interior lights, so I assume ithe switch is working. Is there anyway to test this switch?
