Re: carbon fiber muffler
Unless you don't mind your exhaust sounding like a pissed off bee in a tin can I would not recommend getting any straight through muffler. If you can see straight through the inside you will get a real ricey loud exhaust, as opposed to a larger muffler that has a twist or bend inside that will give you a deeper sound.

Re: carbon fiber muffler
it depends on the car really. my car has a straight through muffler and doesnt sound ricey at all. ive gotten many compliments consisting of "that sounds really good for a 4 cylinder."

Re: carbon fiber muffler
I recomend a MAC muffler, the least amount of back pressure, but they're also designed be to really quite. They are also smaller than most mufflers. So if you don't mind getting a quite muffler I'd go with the MAC they can get pricey though. They basically charge by how big the inlet size is, I think for 2.5" inlet mufflers cost $150~175. http://macmuffler.com/ They're located in Canada, but last time I talk to them I think they said they will ship to USA.
