Looking to build a turbo motor (PICS)

Well I'm a relative n00b when it comes to the technical aspects of building a motor, but I'm looking to buy a used block and eventually build up a boost-ready motor. Any suggestions? I realize this will be a money pit, but hey, what BMW isn't?

What should I look for when purchasing a used block? I will not be seeing it in person before buying it BTW.

nice.......i'm not the only member from tallahassee, i'll suggest that you look at the motor in person because there are many parts that don't show their bad side on camera. But since you're rebuilding the engine you need to check if there are any cracks in the block (i even forgot the process of doing that) or if there's anthing wrong with the head. street or track use?
