Question Keyless entry problems

My keyless entry remote is unable to unlock my doors on my 2004 Seirra. I replaced the batteries and re-programmed the remote. It will lock the doors with no problem. I was wondering if anyone else had issues, before I spend $70.00 on two new FOBs.

Re: Keyless entry problems

Mine does exactly this every now and then. About 3 months apart. I have to snap it open and clean the printed circuit and rubber button with contact cleaner. Alcohol might work also.
Watch the battery polarity when you reassemble it.

Re: Keyless entry problems

Sometimes just an old toothbrush and a quick few scrubs on the circuit board will fix the problem if only a few of the buttons aren't working anymore.
